CASSANDRA PROGRAMME: A DYNAMIC PROGRAMME OF INITIATIVES

The Mediterranean is the sea which connects Europe to Africa. No other region in the World can claim such a prominent role in the development of human society as the Mediterranean. No other continent has suffered the harsh consequences of colonialisation and anthropogenic failure as has Africa.

If society truly believes that in the light of increasing environmental, geopolitical and demographic factors the principal challenge facing the modern world is the creation of a sustainable global community based on equality of race, gender and individual identity as defined by the European Union within its search for a twin transition to a green and digital economy.

EURECAT, the Technology Centre of Catalonia is leading a dynamic programme of initiatives to address the socio-political effects of climate change, with an emphasis on health, migration, gender equality and conflict. The three webinars planned for 2025 will give all those interested an opportunity to interact with people working on the ground, whilst observing the progress of the actions implemented through the CASSANDRA Programme.
