PANEL NINE: Climate change – The gateway to a new form of diplomacy
15th NOV 2023 | 11.00 to 12.30 CET
Description
From the beginning of organised political activity, scientists and artists have been employed as diplomats, creating bridges that others could not construct. Today, science and art can provide effective diplomatic tools which can enable different nations and regions to unite to combat issues, such as global health, climate change, sustainable development, biodiversity, and energy security. It can benefit all people in a variety of ways and can lead to the fostering of mutual economic growth, support in foreign development, the strengthening of educational ties, and the promotion of scientific research and collaboration.
