DANIEL ALTIMIRAS

President of Eurecat

Commercial Director of the Dicomol company.

Continuing businessman in a family business linked to the plastic injection mold sector, among other technologies.

Directly involved with the industrial sector for more than 25 years as a driver of innovation and facilitator of the application of new technologies in the industry.

Vice President of ASCAMM (Catalan Association of Mold Companies) and previously President of the entity for 8 years.

Vice President of FEAMM (Spanish Federation of Mold Associations).

Member of the Governing Board of the UPM (Union of Metallurgical Employers) and linked to the Board of Directors of AMEC (Association of Internationalized Industrial Companies) as an expert advisor.

He has participated in the Boards of Directors of companies in diverse sectors such as food, professional cosmetics and commerce, among others.

AGUSTÍ FERNÁNDEZ DE LOSADA

Secretary for European and Multilateral Affairs, and Development Cooperation at the Government of Catalonia

Agustí Fernández de Losada Passols is the Secretary for European and Multilateral Affairs, and Development Cooperation at the Government of Catalonia. He is also founding partner at Phare, Territorios Globales and associate professor of the International Relations Degree at Blanquerna-Universitat Ramon Llull and at IBEI (Barcelona Institute for International Studies) where he teaches International Relations of Global Cities. As a consultant specialised in urban governance, city diplomacy and international cooperation, he has been Senior Research Fellow and Director of the Global Cities Programme at CIDOB (Barcelona Centre for International Affairs) for more than 7 years. 

During his more than 25 years of professional career, he has worked for different international organizations, national and local governments and other public and private institutions. He has been Director of Studies at Tornos Abogados (2013-2019), Director of the Barcelona Centre for Territorial Studies (2012-2013), Director of International Relations at Diputació de Barcelona (2000 – 2012), General Coordinator of the Office of Orientation and Coordination of the EU URBAL Programme (2008-2012) and the Observatory of Decentralised Cooperation EU-LAC (2005-2012). 

He holds a bachelor’s degree in Law and a master’s degree in European Studies from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB). He also holds a Degree in Public Management from ESADE Business School (ESADE). He is author of several books, reports, policy briefs, papers and articles. RAYA STEPHAN

Water law expert, international consultant Deputy Editor in Chief, Water International; project officer (Water security) (IWRA)

Raya Marina Stephan has a background in international law. She is an international consultant with expertise in water law, at the domestic and international level. She has a wide experience in studies and international projects related to legal and institutional aspects of water management and transboundary waters with a specific focus on groundwater and transboundary aquifers. Her expertise includes the mapping, assessment and analysis of existing legal and institutional frameworks, and providing recommendations and options for future changes and improvements, including the establishment and enhancement of joint mechanisms for cooperation. Raya has experience in various regions of the world such as the Arab countries, the Mediterranean, South-East Europe and others. She collaborates with and advises international and regional organizations such as UNESCO, UNECE, UNESCWA, GWP-Med, the League of Arab States and the World Bank. She is an invited expert to lecture in Universities, and she contributed to online courses). She is a fellow member of the International Water Resources Association, and a board member of the French Water Partnership, and the French Water Academy.

 

STEFANO PALMIERI

President of the European Economic and Social Committee’s External Relations Section

Stefano Palmieri is a member of the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC), since 2009, and is currently President of the External Relations Section. He also served as President of the Section for Economic and Monetary Union and Economic and Social Cohesion from 2018 to 2023 and as President of the EESC’s Europe 2020 Steering Committee from 2013 to 2016.
He is a member of the International and European Department at the Italian trade union: Confederazione Generale Italiana del Lavoro (CGIL) (since 2016). He served as head of the CGIL’s Europe office in Brussels (2009-2010). Previously he held several positions including: Coordinator of research in “Local development and industrial policy” at Istituto di Ricerche Economiche e Sociali (IRES); member of the Trade Union Advisory Committee (TUAC) to the OECD, of the Steering Committee of the Institute de la Protection Sociale Européenne (IPSE), of the ICFTU/ITS/TUAC Committee for International Co-operation on Workers Capital, of the Macroeconomic Group of the Social Dialogue Committee of the European Trade Union Confederation at the European Commission; researcher at the Italian National Council for Economy and Labor (CNEL), at Monitor lavoro s.r.l., and expert on the Science of Finance and Financial Law at the University of Rome “Tor Vergata”.
